Onchain finance

Aspects of finance will eventually run onchain for the following reasons:

• Payments can be instant and extremely cheap (Plasma, Tempo)
• Financial products from institutions are just better onchain. More integrations to use for collateral, greater exposure to the product for clients via leverage, more liquidity that is an improvement over the current liquidity profile for certain products (3F, Midas, Centrifuge)
• 24/7 market for stocks (Hyperliquid).
• Prediction markets to hedge positions for funds (Kalshi, Polymarket).

It just takes time to have a cultural change to make these products normalized and accessible.
